Lisa looks forward to the day when the laws are changed and Utah Homicide Survivors is able to offer even more services to their clients.
Lisa Stone is a Native Californian where she grew up and raised her family. While going through a difficult divorce, she was inspired by the Paralegal that was on her case who was a bright spot during a very dark time in her life. It was then that she knew she wanted to be that for others. She moved to Utah in 2006 and in 2008 graduated from Utah Career College with an Associates in Paralegal Studies.
In January of 2010, Lisa interned as a Domestic Law Paralegal for Utah Legal Services. In March of 2010, she was hired as the paralegal for the Elder Law Division. After that grant was over, she moved over to the Housing Division and eventually moved into the Domestic Law Division. Although Domestic Law was emotionally difficult, she really loved the clients and enjoyed being their “bright spot” during a dark time.
In August of 2018, Lisa was hired as a Senior Paralegal for the Never Again Foundation. When Never Again was forced to close their doors in 2019, Lisa followed Brandon over to Utah Homicide Survivors, a wonderful non-profit she is very passionate about. Lisa looks forward to the day when the laws are changed and Utah Homicide Survivors is able to offer even more services to their clients.
In Lisa’s spare time, she loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loves horses and dogs and enjoys her time with her horse, Gunner and three dogs, Mischa, Nashville, and Memphis
